DESCRIPTION:
delightful antique gown for a little girl, dating ca to the 1930’s, the gown is made in cotton sheer, finely embroidered in tender pastel colors with a motif of baskets of roses with pale blue ribbon bows, the roses are in Art Decò style, with stylized round shape, they are very raised.
The dress is sleeve-less, with high waist, the neck is edged with lace, closure with snaps.
CONDITION:
The baby gown shows some restaurations, there is an important mending under the lace collar and some hand made mendings to the back side, along the closure, I think that the lace collar had been added to hide the damaged area, in any way the baby gown is actually in good order and very pretty.
