Antique cast iron doorstop or bookend, shaped as a basket of flowers with a bow, original chippy and distressed painting, probably Hubley production, early 1900’s

DESCRIPTION:
Very lovely cast iron doorstop or bookend, United States early 1900’s, probably Hubley production.
It has the shape of a nice basket full of flowers with a bow on handle.
This antique cast iron doorstop still has its original painting, the basket has a cream base with safran yellow traces, foliage are in almond green color, flowers are in cream color with traces of pink and light blue, the bow is painted in light blue.
On the back of the cast iron doorstop there’s pressed the number 5, I could not find this model in my book on antique American doorstops but I think it could be a Hubley production.

HOW TO USE IT:
Wonderful antique cast iron doorstop or bookend for an interior decoration in romantic and shabby style, it could be used for its original purpose, as a doorstop or a bookend but it would be very lovely also for decoration in a porch, a patio or a terrasse close to a garden….

CONDITIONS:
Very good conditions for this antique cast iron doorstop, there are no broken parts, of course painting is chippy and distressed but this only adds charme to this lovely cast iron basket of flowers!

MEASURES:
This antique cast iron doorstop is 6 1/4″ tall, max width 5 1/8″, deep 2″ (16 cm tall, 12.5 cm wide and 5 cm deep). Of course it’s heavy, it weights 1.3 kgs and this would reflect on shipping costs.
