DESCRIPTION:
Very lovely French antique enameled coffee pot or coffee biggin with low filter, dating to the 1920’s, teal blue body and uncommon airbrushed and stenciled raised decoration featuring roses and a painter board with a landscape with a boat. Colors are really joyful and eye-catching, there are tones of pink, raspberry red, bordeaux red, white, pale yellow, aqua green and green, with partially faded gilded particulars and filets. The decoration is repeated in a simpler version on the other side of the coffee pot and on the lid.
The coffee pot has no mark but it is well recognizable as a model produced by Japy manufacture.
HOW TO USE IT:
A very nice antique French coffee pot to add to your collection of antique enamelware or to display in your French style kitchen to give the perfect touch to your home decor!
CONDITIONS:
Condition for its age is very good, the decoration is intact and colors are wonderful, the only issues to signal are a few rusty dings located mainly around the lid’s edge, the filter’s edge and to the lid’s knob. Interior is stained with traces of use.
MEASURES:
This coffee pot is 9 1/4″ (23.5 cm) tall and has a base diameter 4 3/8″ (11.1 cm) wide.
