DESCRIPTION:
Rare and wonderful antique French enamel coffee pot with fixed lid, from the early 1900’s, body has shades of light green and pale pink, decoration is hand painted and depicts dainty violets in tones of lilac, purple with touches of yellow and green leaves, gilded particulars, riveted handle and fluted pouring. Bottom is signed with hand painted number 42 and letter D.
This coffee pot is really beautiful and rare, it has been published on the page 139 of the book “La cafetière de ma grand-mère” written by Veronique Queller-Guillos and also in other books about french enamelware.
HOW TO USE IT:
This antique French coffee pot would be a wonderful addition to your collection of French enamelware, especially if you love shades of pink and green and violets theme!
CONDITIONS:
As you can see from photos conditions of the coffee biggin are good, there are some dings located to borders, lid knob, and some dings around the base, visible in my photos. To signal slight fading to pansies decoration here and there. Bottom is intact, interior has stains and traces of rust and use.
MEASURES:
The coffee pot is tall 9 3/4″ (25 cm) and has a base diameter 5 1/4″ (13.5 cm) wide.
