DESCRIPTION:
Antique French cardboard box for chocolates, candies or pastries, this kind of boxes were used as a Baptisme gift for newborn babies, the Baptisme box dates circa to years 1920’s.
This elegant cardboard box has oval shape, it is covered with tea stained ivory paper and ornated with a very tender sepia photo of a mother with her baby, angels and roses, framed with roses garlands and ribbon bows. Under the oval photo the name of the baby: Anne-Marie and the date of Babtisme, 15 Aout 1926 (August 15th 1926).
Inside the box is still present the original paper lace doily.

HOW TO USE IT:
Very nice antique Baptisme box to collect, to use as trinket box or to display in your home decor!

CONDITIONS:
This antique cardboard chocolates box is good conditions with charming antique patina, structure is sturdy, to signal age spots and tea staining effect to the top of lid, some light wear to edges of the lid. The paper lace doily is intact but has some brown stains due to aging.

MEASURES:
9 7/8″ by 4 7/8″ (25 cm by 12 cm), 1 1/8″ (2.8 cm) tall.
