Antique French cruet, ceramic support with Chintz flowers all over, wooden structure & engraved glass bottles, Sarreguemines U et Cie cruet.
DESCRIPTION:
Antique and rare French cruet, ironstone – terre de fer support, with light beige base and transfer design of small wild flowers spread all over the piece, in “chintz style”. Flowers are in tones of blue, pink, dark pink, beige and sage green. The ceramic supports are fixed by columns in turned wood. Bottles for oil and vinegar are in glass, with engraved floral motifs.
This wonderful cruet is signed by Sarreguemines U. et Cie, this signature had been in use from 1868 to 1920.
This rare antique cruet would be a refined final touch to your French inspired table decor for festive days! It is perfect to match with Terre de fer plates with transfer decors in tones of blue, pink, brown or green….
CONDITION:
Very good conditions, there are no chips and no hairlines to ceramic support and neither to glass bottles and stoppers, turned wood columns have no woodworm holes, two of them have the small finals missing. To signal also light brown stains to one glass bottle.

8 1/2″ by 4 3/8″ (21.6 cm by 11.1 cm), 11 5/8″ (29.5 cm) tall.
