Discover this exquisite Victorian-era French brooch, crafted in oval form from “fer blanc” metal. Its outer frame features delicate dentil detailing, while the inner frame, in gilded metal, cradles a small double-fired enameled plaque depicting a charming dancing putto playing the flute against a rich burgundy background. Hand-painted in graceful hues of pale pink, beige, and light blue, the putto is surrounded by tiny butterflies and floral motifs.
The brooch fastens securely with a pin closure.
