DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful antique boudoir box, Edwardian era. This antique box is made from wood and covered with a very lovely French fabric that shows a pattern of dogroses and other flowers in tones of pink, light yellow, dark pink, brick red, light blue, and green. Light beige background with a pattern of lace in a darker tone of beige
Interior of the box is lined with the same fabric that still has the original bright colors, on interior bottom there is a padded mattres, liftable, with the written Boite Maintenon, à sachets, breveté S-G-D-G.
The box has still has its original paper label “Au Bon Marché” glued to the bottom.

This antique French fabric box would look wonderfully in your collection and would be perfect to display with other antique fabric boxes in your French boudoir inspired room! It will give a special touch to your French home decor and can be used also as a trinket or jewelery box.

CONDITIONS:
This French boudoir box is in good conditions, exterior textile has aged beautifully, to signal a large brown spot to exterior bottom, partially visible also on two sides near the edge. Some wear to 2 corners of the lid. The box structure is sturdy, interior is clean and shows the original brighter colors.

16 1/2″ by 9″ (42 cm by 22.8 cm), 4 1/8″ (10.4 cm) tall.
