DESCRIPTION:
Very nice antique French fabric boudoir box dating ca to the 1920’s. The box has a round base, it is made of cardboard covered with a very lovely antique fabric. The textile has a great antique patina, base color is beige with a pattern of roses and geometries in Art Decò style, the lid is edged with metallic trim in bronze color. Colors are very lovely, there are tones of pink, safran yellow, beige, chocolate brown and green.
Interior of the box is lined in beige paper. A small fragment of the antique original paper label “Au Louvre” is still attached to the bottom.

HOW TO USE IT:
This antique French fabric box would look wonderfully in your collection and would be perfect to display with other antique fabric boxes in your French boudoir inspired room! It will give a special touch to your French home decor and can be used also as a trinket or jewelry box.

CONDITIONS:
This French boudoir box is in good condition, the textile is not stained and has aged beautifully, colors are still lovely, with beautiful age patina, to signal a small area of detaching of the trim, slight bumping to the lid and a small dent to the interior side. The box structure is sturdy.

Base diameter is 8 1/2″ (21.6 cm), 3″ (7.5 cm) tall.
