DESCRIPTION:
Set of two very nice antique French fabric boudoir boxes dating to the 1920’s – 1930’s. First box has a round base and the other one has an oval base, they are made from cardboard covered with a very lovely antique fabric. The textile has a great antique patina with a design of losanges framing baskets of roses and flowers, ribbon bows and garlands of roses on a saffron yellow background. The colors are really lovely, there are tones of purple, beige, pink, raspberry red, beige, saffron yellow and green, the 2 boxes’ interior is lined in the same fabric, of course the interior side still shows the original brighter colors, exterior side of the boxes has great antique patina, the fabric is a bit faded and darkened by aging.
The lids of the boxes are edged with bronze color metallic trim. The oval box still has the original paper label of the famous Parisian department store “A la Samaritaine”, glued at the bottom, with the price in French Francs.
I sell the 2 boxes together, the price is for the set of the 2 boxes.

HOW TO USE IT:
These antique French fabric boxes would look wonderfully in your collection and would be perfect to display with other antique fabric boxes in your French boudoir inspired room! They will give a special touch to your French home decor and can be used also as a trinket or jewelry box.

CONDITIONS:
Both the boxes are in good antique condition with great antique patina, structure is sturdy, interior is in good order.

Oval base box: 7″ by 5 1/4″ (17.8 cm by 13.3 cm), 5″ (12.7 cm) tall.
