DESCRIPTION:
Divine antique French boudoirdomed box dating to early 1900’s. This antique box is made from heavy cardboard and covered with a wonderful antique textile, the boudoir box still has in place its original label from the famous Parisian department store “Au Louvre”. Fabric has a design of checks in sage green with rosettes in tones of pink and raspberry red. There’s a light beige color pleated silk insert around the lid border, emebellished with metallic bronze color trimming . Interior of the box is lined with the same fabric used for the exterior, of course colors in interior are brighter as normal in these antique fabric boxes. The antique French box is edged with metallic trim in bronze color.

This antique French fabric box would look wonderfully in your collections of old French fabric boxes in romantic Marie Antoinette boudoir style!

CONDITIONS:
This antique boudoir box is really in very good conditions, fabric is clean and colors have a wonderful aged patina but are still vibrant, there are some tears to the pleated beige silk but not very visible and not detracting. The box structure is still sturdy.

13 1/4″ by 8 1/4″, 4″ tall (33.5 cm by 21 cm, 10 cm tall).
