DESCRIPTION
Wonderful antique French boudoir box, dating to the early 1900’s. This antique box is made from heavy cardboard, it was intended to contain candies or pastries. The lid is covered with a lovely antique textile, the sides are covered in gold paper. The fabric on the lid is really beautiful, it has an ivory base and a design of cherries and a bunch of roses and other flowers with a harp and a quiver of harrows. The colors are very soft, there tones of pink, raspberry red, beige, brown and sage green. The interior of the box is lined in plain ivory paper, there is a chromo glued on the lid’s interior, showing a young loving couple dressed in eighteen-century style, picking cherries.

CONDITION
This antique boudoir box is in good condition, fabric is clean and colors are still vibrant. The box structure is sturdy, to signal light wear to one corner and to the bottom edge. The interior is in good order.
