Antique FRENCH FABRIC Box, vintage textile box for gloves, sepia chromo with courting couple, Antique french fabric Boudoir box.

MEASURES:
14 1/8″ by 5″, 3 1/8″ tall (36 cm by 12.7 cm, 7.8 cm tall).

DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful antique French textile box dating to the early 1900’s. This antique box has a rectangular shape and was intended to contain gloves. The boudoir box is made from heavy cardboard and covered with a lovely antique textile in Indienne style, on the central aerea of the lid there is a chromo in sepia color featuring a couple in 1st Empire costumes playing chess. The chromo and lid are edged with bronze color metallic trim. Beautiful antique patina and colors, fabric has tons of red, light beige, blue and green. Interior of the box is lined in light green plain fabric.

HOW TO USE IT:
This antique French fabric box would look wonderfully in your collections of old French fabric boxes!

CONDITIONS:
The colors of fabric on the lid show some darkening and there are small spots of age, the colors on the sides are much brighter. The box structure is sturdy, there is wear to one corner. Interior is in good order.

The product has imperfections or a patina due to its age, as can be seen in the photos. Please take a close look at the pictures before making your purchase!
