DESCRIPTION:
Antique and rare French egg shaped jewellery or trinket box made from gilded metal, the egg box is fixed in vertical position to a thins support fashioned in “Faux Bamboo” style, which reminds to Japanese art that was very fashionable in France at the end of 1800’s and the beginning of 1900’s.
The interior of this beautiful box is lined by its original silk in pink color.

HOW TO USE IT:
Really a rare find, this antique precious Egg shaped box could of course be a beautiful piece in a collection of antique Easter eggs, it would also be gorgeous for your boudoir Easter decoration, or would be a very special gift for someone who loves Paris chic atmospheres….

CONDITION:
This antique French easter egg box is in very good condition, there are no ruptures, the closure is in working conditions, interior lining is intact and not stained, the only thing to signal is a small area of lack in gilding, visible in my photos.

MEASURES:
This egg is 6 3/4″ (17.2 cm) tall, 3 1/4″ (8.2 cm) max width, the egg in itself is 3 1/2″ by 2 1/4″ (8.8 cm by 5.7 cm).
