Description

DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful and rare ironstone – Terre de Fer water pitcher with lid, transfer decoration in monochrome of cobalt blue featuring ivy leaves, spread all over the pieces in “chintz” style. The pitcher is signed by French manufacture Creil Montereau, L. M. et C.ie (Leboeuf et Millet et C.ie), design “Flora”, this mark has been used from 1840 to 1876.
In my last photo you can see another identical jug, in smaller size, available listed separately.

HOW TO USE IT:
Really very special antique and rare ceramic pitcher to add to a collection of antique French terre de fer transferware!
This antique water jug would display beautifully in your interior decoration inspired by the French countryside and would be perfect also for home decor in Nordic or Jeanne d’Arc Living style!

CONDITION:
The antique ceramic pitcher is in good condition, there are no hairlines and no ruptures, to signal lovely antique patina with light tea staining and craquelure effect to exterior and interior side, a tiny lack of enamel to the spout.

MEASURES:
9 3/8″ (23.8 cm) tall including the lid, 8 1/4″ (20.9 cm) max width including handle.
