Antique French kitchen trivet for pans, ceramic tile with airbrushed tulips and carved wood frame, ball feet, dating to years 1920’s.

DESCRIPTION:
Antique French trivet used for hot pans, made with a ceramic tile in a carved wood frame. The ceramic tile has white base and has a stenciled and airbrushed design depicting tulips and a border with sylized flowers in Art Nouveau style.
The tulips have shades of pink, yellow raspberry, with green leaves, the border is in brown color.
The frame is in carved wood, bottom of the tile is covered with wood fixed to the frame with screws, this trivet has four ball feet in wood.
I think that this trivet once was a music box, there is a hole in the wooden tablet, the musical mechanism is no more in place.

HOW TO USE IT:
Very lovely antique trivet to collect or to use in your French inspired kitchen, it could be very nice also to hang it to a wall.

CONDITIONS:
Good antique conditions, to signal some scratches and signs of use to the ceramic tile, wooden frame has some woodworms holes.

MEASURE:
11 1/2″ by 11 1/2″ (29.5 cm by 29.5 cm), tile in itself is 8 1/8″ by 8 1/8″ (20.5 cm by 20.5 cm), 2 3/8″ (5.8 cm) tall.
