DESCRIPTION:
Lovely and rare pair of antique French majolica barbotine cups and saucers dating ca to years 1920’s. Charming raised pattern featuring bamboo branches and leaves, moss green background and turquoise blue interior and details. These cups remind to Japanese style that was very fashionable in France in that era, many French majolica pieces have been produced taking inspiration from Japanese art. These cups and saucers are not signed. Price is for the two cups and saucers.
CONDITIONS:
Conditions are really good, there are no hairs or chips, only a lovely antique patina as normal in so old majolica pieces.
MEASURES:
Diameter of saucers is 6″ (15.2 cm), cups are 2 1/8″ (5.4 cm) tall and diameter is 3 1/8″ (8 cm), width with handle is 4″ (10.2 cm).
