DESCRIPTION:
Lovely antique French olive wood box for gloves, Souvenir of Nice, this box dates to early 1900’s.
The olive wood box has hand painted decoration featuring hawthorn flowers and two birds with their nest. This kind of boxes were typical keepsake souvenirs of the French Rivieras’ towns or of thermal locations.
Very lovely colors, there are tones of ivory, yellow, beige, brown, black, red, purple and green.
Interior of the box is not lined.
