DESCRIPTION:
Antique French linen doily, oval shape, made from natural linen, dating circa to years 1920’s – 1930’s. The doily is cutwork embroidered and hand painted, hand painted decoration had been expertly made and depicts swallows and dogoroses on a wood fence, in tones of black, dark blue, grey, brown, beige, pink, yellow and green.
The doily is edged with hand made lace in ecrù color.

HOW TO USE IT:
Beautiful antique doily, ready to use as it is or for some project, perfect for a pillow front.

CONDITIONS:
Good antique conditions, there are no ruptures to lace border and to cutwork embroidery, painting is perfect, there are some small brown point stains due to age.

MEASURE:
28″ by 22″ (71 cm by 55.8 cm) including the lace border which is 3″ (7.6 cm) wide.
