DESCRIPTION:
Beautiful and rare antique enameled body pitcher from France, dating to early 1900’s, pink shaded background and hand painted decoration with a vignette featuring a wood landscape with a pathway, in tones of green, beige, light blue and grey, partially faded gilded volutes frame the vignette. Decoration is not raised, it has been executed using light touch tecnique and it really shows all the beauty of a watercolor! Riveted handle and gilded fillets.

CONDITIONS:
Conditions of this enameled body pitcher are very good, decoration is perfect with very lovely colors, the only issues to signal are some very small dings on handle, around base, near handle attach and on the spout tip. Glided volutes are a bit faded and there is light wear to enamel surface on one side, nothing detracting at all. Bottom is perfect.

This body pitcher is 17 1/8″ (43.8 cm) tall and has a base diameter of 9 1/8″ (23.3 cm).
