Rare Antique French Egyptian Revival Celluloid Frame Silk Brocade Purse, 1920s Evening Bag

Description: Step into the allure of the 1920s with this exquisite French purse featuring an Egyptian Revival celluloid frame. Inspired by the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, the intricately carved frame showcases sphinxes and lotus flowers in vibrant red-orange and black on a beige background. The purse is crafted from stunning white silk brocade adorned with roses and flowers in shades of pink, coral, mauve, and green on one side, and a motif of blackberries in dark blue and azure on the other. Lined with light beige damask silk, the opening is embellished with a delicate ribbonwork garland of roses in gradient shades of green and pink silk ribbon.
