DESCRIPTION:
Antique French religious card (in French called “canivets”), openable religious card, made in paper lace with hand tinted chromo featuring Child Jesus in flaming heart, surrounded by roses and lilies, on interior side a prayer to Child Jesus and a sepia chromo with the image of Jesus and Saints, on back side a handwritten note dating to the month of May 1865 lets us know that this card was a souvenir of First Communion for a girl named Marie.
CONDITION:
The card is in good condition for its age, there are a few missing pieces in the paper lace and light signs of folding.
MEASURES:
4 5/8″ by 2 3/4″ (11.8 cm by 7 cm).
