This stunning antique French jug is crafted from terre de fer ceramic and features a vibrant polychrome transferware design. Adorned with charming birds perched on blossoming branches, this piece exhibits a delightful Oriental influence, characteristic of that era. The “Opaque de Sarreguemines” mark, in use from 1875 to around 1920, is stamped on the bottom.

The Sarreguemines jug showcases a beautiful color palette, including shades of sky blue, soft yellow, moss green, rich red, and blush pink. Though petite, with a capacity of approximately 400 ml, it makes a significant decorative statement, ideal for adding a touch of vintage French charm to your home or collection.
