Antique French textile box, ribbonwork roses & bronze color metallic lace, antique boudoir box, antique ribbonwork embroidery box with roses.

MEASURES:
Diameter is 6 3/8″ (16.2 cm), 5″ (12.7 cm) tall.

DESCRIPTION:
Very lovely antique French box, hand crafted box for boudoir, the box structure is made from cardboard, covered in pink silk and lined with bronze color metallic lace, the lid has domed shape and is padded in order to allow to stick a hat pin. The side of the cylindrical box is embroidered with ribbonwork technique, the embroidery work is very raised and shows a trellis of pale pink roses with ombrè silk ribbon in shades of pale pink and sage green.
The interior side is lined in pink silk and is in poor condition, the silk on fixed on the side is in pieces.
Wonderful and highly collectible small box to display in your French boudoir inspired home decor!

CONDITION:
The box structure is sturdy, There are some holes to the metallic lace on the lid, interior lining is in poor condition as you can see from photos, the embroidery ribbonwork shows light wear with some missing stitches unfixed ribbons.

The product has imperfections or a patina due to its age, as can be seen in the photos. Please take a close look at the pictures before making your purchase!
