DESCRIPTION:
Antique spectacle or glasses case for lady, dating to Victorian era, circa mid 1800’s. The glasses case / etui has a metallic structure, exterior side in covered in black leather with embroideries, on one side there is an embroidered monogram in bronze color metallic thread surrounded by embroidered roses with buds in tons of pale pink, vinaccia, beige, green and brown, on the other side there is an embroidery showing flowers and scrolls, in tons of red, pink, brown, pale blue, blue, beige and green.
The interior side is lined red moirè silk.

CONDITION:
The spectacle case shows great antique patina, the leather is a bit time worn, the metallic frame is rusty.
