Antique ironstone boxes for bathroom decor, set of 2 ceramic boxes, purple transfer decor in toile de jouy style, Dutch mark Maestricht, model “Mulhouse”.

MEASURES:
Tooth brushes box is 8 5/8″ by 3 1/2″ (21.8 cm by 8.8 cm), 2 3/4″ (7 cm) max tall.
Soap box is 4 3/4″ by 3 3/4″ (12.1 cm by 9.5 cm), 3″ (7.6 cm) max tall.

DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful set of two antique Dutch ironstone boxes for bathroom, one box was intended to store tooth brushes and the other one for soap. The 2 boxes have a transfer decoration in monochromia of purple – lilac, showing small scenes of children playing in country landscape, spread all over the piece, in “toile de jouy” style.
The boxes have the mark of the manufacture Société Ceramique de Maestricht, this model is called “Mulhouse”, dating to the late 1800’s.
The price is for the set of two boxes.

CONDITION:
The tooth brushes box has 2 manufacturing defaults, one is similar to a small chip under the lid’s rim and the other one is like a small slot under the base of one of the tooth brushes supports, the soap box has 2 tiny chips under the lid’s rim.

The product has imperfections or a patina due to its age, as can be seen in the photos. Please take a close look at the pictures before making your purchase!
