Antique Italian parasol umbrella, made in woven straw with hand painted & embroidered roses in rafia, carved wood handle parasol.
MEASURE:
26 3/4″ (68 cm) long, 29 3/4″ (75.6 cm) wide when open.
DESCRIPTION:
Very lovely and rare antique Italian parasol dating to the 1920’s, made from woven straw in natural color, the parasol is decorated with hand painted roses enriched by hand embroidered details made in rafia, in tons of blush pink, beige, sage green and brown. The handle is in hand carved wood.
CONDITION:
The woven straw shows cuts, I think that it could be restored by a skilled hand, one of the celluloid tips of the ribs is partially broken, the parasol opens and closes well.
The product has imperfections or a patina due to its age, as can be seen in the photos. Please take a close look at the pictures before making your purchase!
