Antique Italian scapular, devotional scapular hand crafted by nuns, sacred art hand crafted scapular in paper with glass beads & ribbons.

MEASURE: 3 1/8″ by 2 3/8″ (7.9 cm by 6 cm).

Very lovely antique Italian scapular, hand crafted by nuns in convent, dating to 1800’s, the scapular is shaped as a cushion, made in paper, there is an oval chromo with the image of a saint, apllied on a green base and surrounded with glass beads and metallic trimming, the upper part is covered with embossed gold paper, embroidered with sequins and glass beads, the scapular is decorated with mauve color organze silk ribbons that create ruffles.
The scapular is in good condition for its age, to signal ruptures and fragility to the silk ribbons.
