Description

Antique poetry booklet R. Tuck editor, Happy Hours Attend You, crescent moon & violets, Edwardian era booklet, early 1900’s booklet.

DESCRIPTION:
Very lovely small poetry booklet dating late 1800’s or early 1900’s, late Victorian or Edwardian era.
This adorable booklet has a cover with raised chromolitographed picture depicting violets and a landscape in a crescent moon. The title is in gilded letters: “Happy Hours Attend You”.
Inside there are other four colored chromolitographed pictures as you can see in my photos, depicting violets, daisies and other flowers.
During Victorian and Edwardian era this kind of booklets were used as small gifts and keepsakes for Valentine Day, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries or other significative dates.
These antique Victorian booklets are so tender and I am always amazed by the accuracy and beauty of the antique chromo pictures you can find in them…
In my last photo you can see another antique booklet that is not included in this listing.

HOW TO USE IT:
This antique Edwardian booklet is wonderful to add to your collection of antique ephemera from Victorian/Edwardian era.
I also love to play with them in interior decoration, they display beautifully among other small antique treasures in a boudoir.
Of course it would be a wonderful Valentine day gift for a Victorian antiques lover!

CONDITIONS:
Very good antique conditions, structure is sturdy, there are no lost pages and no tears.
