DESCRIPTION:
Amazing antique evening purse – bag dating to Edwardian era, early 1900’s. The purse is made from brown moiré silk, point de Beauvais embroidered made by a very expert hand, the design shows beautiful roses and flowers in tones of pink, raspberry, beige, light brown, blue, purple and green, with vermicelli embroidery made with bronze color metallic thread. On the back side of the antique purse embroidery shows the same design. Interior of the purse is lined in gold yellow silk, the interior opening is edged with ribbon work silk rococò rosettes, in ombré pink ribbon and aqua green ribbon.
The purse has a simple frame made of brass color metal with a kiss clasp embellished with white rhinestones. The purse has a chain handle.

CONDITIONS:
Very good antique conditions, there are no detracting stains, no offensive odours, no missing stitches. To signal just a few small splits to exterior brown silk, located to one side (hidden among pleats) and to front and back side, under the frame.
Interior of the purse too is in very good condition. Closure is functional and works well.
MEASURES:
6″ by 5 3/4″ (15.2 cm by 14.6 cm), handle is 4 3/4″ (12.1 cm) long.
