DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful and very rare antique chromo scrap featuring Santa – Father Christmas dressed in white, in “Russian style”, this depiction of Santa Claus is very rare, this chromo comes from a private collection and it has been treasured for many years.
The large chromo of Santa Claus is attached on a cardboard together with several other chromos with many different subjects, 14 chromos are attached on reverse side and 4 chromos + the large and rare Santa Claus are attached on front side.
During Victorian and Edwardian era this kind of chromos were collected in albums and used for scrapbooking or to craft Christmas decorations.
These antique Victorian chromos are beautiful and I am always amazed by the accuracy and beauty of the antique pictures you can find in them…
