DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful and rare antique large cup for chocolate, with matching saucer, ironstone, airbrushed decoration depicts iris flowers, in shades of lilac and green, with gilded detailing and filets. The design is in Art Nouveau style. Signature Choisy Le Roi, Terre de Fer, this mark has been in use from 1878.

Really a very special antique and uncommon antique chocolate cup to add to a collection of antique French ironstone – terre de fer!
This rare antique cup with saucer would display beautifully in your interior decoration inspired by the French countryside!

CONDITION:
Cup and saucer are in good antique condition, there are no chips and no hairlines, to signal just some small lack of enamel around the cup’s base, gilded filets to edges are partially faded.

MEASURES:
Diameter of the cup is 4 1/2″ (11.5 cm), 2 5/8″ (6.7 cm) tall.
The saucer has 7 1/8″ (18.1 cm) diameter.
