Art Deco Compact Powder and Cigarette Case, 1920s–1930s
A beautiful and unusual Art Deco vanity accessory dating from the 1920s–1930s, combining a powder compact and cigarette case in one elegant design.
Crafted in chromed metal with buttery cream enamel panels enhanced by subtle airbrushed shading, this compact reflects the geometric elegance and practical sophistication of the Art Deco period.
One side opens as a powder compact and retains its original beveled rectangular mirror. The original powder screen is still present, together with traces of vintage face powder that testify to its authentic history.
The opposite side functions as a cigarette case. A raised metal holder securely accommodates up to five cigarettes, while the lower compartment offers additional space for folded banknotes, business cards, coins, or small personal belongings.
A triangular side ring supports the original beige silk tassel, a refined decorative detail typical of luxury vanity accessories from the Jazz Age.
Today this compact makes a remarkable collector’s piece and a charming decorative object for Art Deco interiors, vintage fashion collections, costume design, or period displays.

Condition
Very good vintage condition.
The chrome finish remains bright and well preserved. The enamel surfaces show only minor wear consistent with age. The interior is clean, with light traces of use. The original beveled mirror, powder screen, and silk tassel are all present.
