Antique religious Hymn booklet, Praise, cover with chromo, anemone flowers, scalloped shape, Edwardian era booklet, early 1900’s booklet.
Very lovely small poetry booklet dating late 1800’s or early 1900’s, late Victorian or Edwardian era.
This adorable booklet has a scalloped cover with chromolitograph picture depicting anemone flowers in tones of pale pink, pink, light yellow and green. The title is in gilded letters: “Praise”.
Inside there are other four colored pictures as you can see in my photos, depicting flowers.
During Victorian and Edwardian era this kind of booklets were used as small gifts and keepsakes for Valentine Day, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries or other significative dates.
These antique Victorian booklets are so tender and I am always amazed by the accuracy and beauty of the antique chromo pictures you can find in them…
In my last photo you can see other antique booklets that are listed separately.
HOW TO USE IT:
This antique Edwardian booklet is wonderful to add to your collection of antique ephemera from Victorian/Edwardian era.
I also love to play with them in interior decoration, they display beautifully among other small antique treasures in a boudoir.
Of course it would be a wonderful Valentine day gift for a Victorian antiques lover!
Very good antique conditions, structure is sturdy, there are no lost pages and no tears.
