DESCRIPTION:
Here’s a lovely vintage Italian brooch with an oval shell cameo, finely worked, featuring the profile of a woman with drop earrings and classical hairstyle, the cameo has a silver color metal frame with marcassite stones, with a pin on the back. This brooch has Italian origin, it comes from the area of Torre del Greco (near Naple) where the manufacturing of cameos has a glorious tradition, the brooch was in the deadstock of a jewelry shop in my town closed from the 1970’s, I think it dates to the 1960’s.
Very lovely vintage brooch to wear or to collect, a great idea for a gift!
